Sarah + Tyler: Wedding Day

A few weeks ago, Sarah & Tyler tied the knot at The Maulhauser Barn in West Chester, Ohio. I had never been here before, but it was absolutely GORGEOUS. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny Friday and the temperature was perfect. Not too hot, not too cold. I started the afternoon off by meeting Sarah and her bride tribe to capture the joy & anticipation they all had for the rest of the night as they got ready together in a nearby hotel. Everyone was just SO nice and thoughtful and and I LOVED the navy blue & maroon robes that Sarah had chosen to get ready in. Sarah's dress was truly one of a kind and absolutely perfect for the day. The details in it's beading, the arrangement of the flowers, and the happiness of the bride started the afternoon off to such a great start.

While I was hanging out with the girls, my INCREDIBLE second shooter Amanda spent her time at The Barn with Tyler & the guys. I've been working with Amanda for quite a few months now and I always LOVE getting back her photos at the end of the night and looking through them to see how her perspective of the day was captured. Even though we both are there, capturing the exact same day, we always manage to use our creativeness in such different ways. I love how this really allows my brides & grooms to have an entire, complete gallery with multiple angles, perspectives, and creative twists in it. It looks to me like the guys had a lot of fun and the time that Sarah and Tyler put into the small details of the day paid off because everything looked absolutely flawless, especially that cake!!

After everyone was ready, we all headed to the ceremony. The setting sun poured into the big open windows as a nice summer breeze flowed through the barn. Sarah & Tyler's friends and family gathered to watch the two officially come together as husband and wife and the entire ceremony was absolutely beautiful. The flower girls twirled as Sarah's stepmom sung a special song and everything finally came together perfectly. After the two exchanged rings and sealed the ceremony with a kiss, they proudly walked back down the aisle together before heading outside to completely just embrace one another. Out of all of the wonderful moments I get to capture throughout a wedding day, this one is always one of my favorites. It's completely unscripted and SO full of love and happiness. The very first embrace as husband and wife. A moment packed with emotion and admiration. Complete joy. I love it.

After the ceremony we headed outside for family and bridal party portraits. The Muhlhauser Barn is in such a perfect location, it's surrounded by fields & trees and it overlooks a small pond. The outside of the barn is so photogenic and it was as awesome to use as a backdrop for these photos! Sarah was absolutely INCREDIBLE and created a great shot list for us to use and it made everything SO easy. We were able to breeze through these photos before stepping off to take photos of Sarah and Tyler together in the sunset! It was an absolutely GORGEOUS night.

After all the photos were done, we headed back into the reception for dinner & dancing! Sarah & Tyler finally had time to visit with all of their friends and family members who came out to celebrate their day with them. Their reception was short & sweet since they were leaving for their honeymoon that night, but it was packed full of love and fun. The speeches were both funny & sentimental, the cake was delicious, and it was so awesome that guests were able to spend time inside with the music or head out onto the back deck for corn hole & Jenga! The entire evening was absolutely beautiful and we were SO lucky to have perfect weather throughout the day.

Sarah and Tyler, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a special day for you guys! It truly came together perfectly and I hope that you love this little sneak preview of it! I'm so excited for you guys to get the rest of your photos in the mail so you can relive the magic of the day over and over again :) Congratulations, again!!
