Laura + Cameron: Wedding Day

A few weeks ago Laura & Cameron were blessed with an absolutely beautiful wedding day. It wasn't anything like they originally had planned because of everything going on with COVID-19, but it still ended up being perfect. I started the day off by meeting Laura & her bride tribe at her church. They were able to spend the morning together laughing and chatting as they got ready for the rest of the day. Not only did they all have the cutest matching robes, but they also had bride tribe socks! They were all so excited for what the day would bring and were all so much fun to work with. I always like to start off a wedding day by documenting alllllll the details and Laura & Cameron made my job easy by putting everything together for me. Their neutral color scheme let the important pieces stand out, like Laura's fan and the photos of her dad. Laura's dad passed away a few years ago and she was gifted a photo chain to add to her bouquet so that he could still be present on her wedding day. This was so sweet and sentimental and I absolutely love that he was there to still walk down the aisle with her.

While I was busy hanging out with the girls, my incredible second shooter Sam (with Samantha Sandy Photography) was hanging out with Cameron & his guys. They were getting ready right up the hill from us and I can tell by going through these photos that they had a lot of fun spending time together! I always love looking through my second shooter's photos and being able to see what I missed throughout the day. I always recommend my couples have a second photographer come along with me on their big day because it's always so fun for them to look back and see how their spouse spent their wedding day morning! Plus, most of my wedding packages now include an awesome second shooter! ;)

After everyone was finished getting ready, we headed to George Rogers Clark Park for Laura & Cameron's first look, couples portraits, and bridal party photos! This was actually my first time taking photos here and I absolutely LOVED it! We had beautiful weather, so much shade, and an almost empty park! It was so rare for a Saturday in Cincinnati, but it was wonderful! I'm so in love with how all of these photos turned out and I'm honestly obsessed with all of the joy, love, and emotion documented here. Laura & Cameron are both so happy and are surrounded by a group of incredible friends and family who support and love them. They were all so much fun to work with and made my job easy!

Aren't they beautiful??? I'm just so in love with this whole bridal party!! After wrapping up with photos at the park, we headed to the church to get ready for the ceremony. Since we finished up with photos earlier than expected, we ended up having some extra time before the ceremony actually started. Instead of just sitting around and talking, Laura's bridesmaids started a prayer circle around her to pray for Laura and Cameron and the marriage they were starting together that afternoon. It was truly beautiful and such a special moment unseen by the rest of their guests. I'm so thankful that we were able to capture these gorgeous moments so that Laura can treasure and remember them. The ceremony ended up being beautiful. Their officiant told the (hilarious) story about how Laura & Cameron first met, Laura's brother walked her down the aisle, they had their closest friends and family present, and they braided three ropes together to remind them that to keep God in the center of their relationship. After walking back down the aisle together, Laura & Cameron took a moment to celebrate being freshly married alone together and it was the absolute sweetest thing.

After the ceremony we took family photos (but those are for Laura & Cameron to share!) along with a few more photos of Laura & Cameron alone in the church. These photos turned out so sweet and intimate and I LOVE that Laura added these to her shot list!

Before everything happened with COVID-19, Laura & Cameron planned on heading to Receptions in Erlanger to celebrate their new marriage with dinner and dancing. Unfortunately, their big party had to be postponed until October, but they were still able to celebrate at the church with dinner, cake, and speeches. Their closest friends and family gathered around and it was so sweet to listen to all the kind words they had to say about the newlyweds! One of the biggest positives about having to postpone your wedding reception is getting to get all dressed up and celebrate twice, and I know that Laura and Cameron will appreciate being around everyone they love so much more now that they've had to spend time apart.

Laura & Cameron, I cannot thank you enough for trusting me to come and document such a special day for you two! Everything came together perfectly and I'm so glad that you were still able to get together with your closest friends and family to celebrate the start of a beautiful marriage together. Congratulations, again!!
