Kennedi + Jordan: Lake Lyndsay Wedding Day

Kennedi & Jordan are two of the sweetest humans on the planet & I'm so excited to finally be able to share the story of their wedding day with you. Everything came together absolutely beautifully and these two were an absolute DREAM to work with .

I started the day off by meeting Kennedi & her bride tribe at Lake Lyndsay Lodge. Lake Lyndsay has an awesome bridal suite to get ready in and I always love shooting there. It’s so obvious that Kennedi is surrounded by SO much love support and her bridal suite was filled with such positive energy. It was incredible. Can we start this day off by addressing one thing? Kennedi’s dress. WHAT! Literally what all of my dreams are made of. The lace, the train, absolute perfection.

Kennedi and Jordan decided to save their first look until they were standing at opposite ends of the aisle, but Kennedi still wanted to have a first look with her dad. This moment was absolutely precious and I love that you can just FEEL the fatherly love in that hug! While I was spending my morning with Kennedi, my awesome second shooter Sam was hanging out with Jordan and his groomsmen as they got ready downstairs!

Since Kennedi & Jordan didn’t want to have a first look, we took separate bridal party photos after everyone was ready. Even though we had a wet & rainy day, I loveeee how these photos turned out! Let’s talk about these bridesmaid dresses. Oh my goodness. They were incredible. The color combination made me so happy and I LOVE the way they photograph together. What’s even better is that Kennedi’s grandma chose these specific colors for each bridesmaid before she passed away. There were so many moments that she was still included in this special day, but this is one of my favorites. I also LOVE the photos that Sam took of Jordan and his groomsmen. It looks like that had the BEST time!

After we were done taking bridal party portraits, we headed back inside for the sweetest moment. Kennedi’s first look with her grandpa. I knew that this was going to be an emotional moment, but there are no words to describe all the love that’s shown in these photos.

And then the big moment came, the ceremony! We had a cold & rainy October afternoon but this ceremony was still absolutely beautiful. Jordan’s reaction to seeing his bride for the first time, the love and support from their friends and family, and the happiness they both had walking back down the aisle together MARRIED! So special!

After the ceremony we took photos with the entire bridal party (so fun! Look at how perfect all of these colors go together!) before taking family photos. I’m leaving the family photos out so that Kennedi & Jordan can share them with you, but I did want to share a few of my favorite photos of this fun bridal party together!

After finishing up with bridal party and family photos, it was time for the best part of the day! Portraits with the NEW Mr. & Mrs. McVicker! By this point in the day, any talk of a beautiful golden hour sunset was long gone. As our light started to fade away, the fog rolled in. A misty rain started to fall (you can see droplets on Kennedi & Jordan’s hair in a few photos!) and I can promise you that our perfect day just became even more magical. This moody blue hour was so stunning and I cannot get over how awesome these two are for being willing to stay out in the cold as their party started inside. Not only were these two so fun to work with, but the love they have for one another just radiates through these photos and melts. my. heart. This was a great ending to an incredible day.

After we finished up with portraits, it was time to head into the reception! Kennedi & Jordan made their grand entrance, shared their first dance together as husband and wife, cut their cake, had an awesome dinner (so memorable, haha!), listened to speeches, and danced the night away! This reception was the perfect ending to an even more perfect day and was SO much fun to be able to capture.

Kennedi & Jordan, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such a special day for you two. I know you had SO many incredible photographers to choose from, but it truly does mean the world to me that you would choose to support me & my small business. Congratulations, again! You two deserve nothing but the very best!
