I had the absolute best time capturing Jess & Nick’s wedding day earlier this month and I am SO excited to finally share these photos with you and tell you the story of their big day!
Jess & Nick got married at The Kolping Haus and their entire day was so relaxed & dreamy. After photographing a few sentimental details that helped bring the day together, I captured the final getting ready moments for both Nick & Jess as they prepared for their first look.
Once they were ready, Jess & Nick headed to the bar for their first look. This was the absolute sweetest moment and so special to capture. We went right into couples portraits afterwards and it was so much fun to be able to explore the areas around the venue. We had a ton of gorgeous photo backgrounds to choose from and had absolutely perfect weather for a wedding. After finishing up with photos of Jess & Nick, we invited the bridal party & a few family members out for portraits as well!
After finishing up with photos, it was time for the ceremony! This ceremony was short & sweet and filled with so much love & laughter. Nick’s sister officiated their ceremony and she added such a special sentimental touch!!
After the ceremony, we went straight into cocktail hour & the reception, but before I share those photos with you I want to share a few of my favorite golden hour photos from sunset. I always recommend that my couples set aside a little time to leave reception and spend a moment together taking in the sunset on their wedding day. This allows them to come together & connect since the rest of the night can be a whirlwind! The extra photos with that warm golden lighting are also another huge perk!
The rest of the night was so much fun. From first dances to the best photo bomb song to a delicious Graeter’s Ice Cream Sundae Bar, all of Jess & Nick’s guests had the best time celebrating with the sweetest couple. This entire day was so beyond perfect and I absolutely loved documenting it! Jess & Nick, thank you SO much for trusting me with capturing such a special da for you two! Congratulations, again!!
