Danielle + Brandon: Engagement Photos

I feel like we're finally getting the first few hints of spring here in the Cincinnati area & I'm beyond excited for the later sunsets & warm weather to really kick off this upcoming photography busy season. This past week I met up with Danielle & Brandon to take a few last minute engagement photos before their wedding at the end of this month. Engagement photos are complimentary with each wedding package I book because I think it's just so important for me to get my future brides & grooms in front of my camera before their big day to help get them more comfortable! I find that working together prior to the wedding day helps us get to know one another, build trust, and show us what poses & prompts we LOVE & which ones we'd rather pass on for the wedding day! By scheduling Danielle & Brandon's engagement session so close to their wedding day, I just know that we'll be extra ready for the day & our time spent taking couples portraits will be a breeze.

We decided to meet up for their photos at Miami Whitewater Forest & we actually started in the exact same spot that Brandon got down on one knee in to ask Danielle to marry him. As we were walking and chatting, the two realized how appropriate it was to be taking these photos by a lake since so many big moments in their relationship actually happened next to a variety of lakes in the area. Brandon asking Danielle to be his girlfriend, photo sessions the two had taken in the past, Brandon asking Danielle to marry him, their engagement photos, as well as planning to have their wedding ceremony next to a large lake at their wedding venue!

I always love getting to know each couple I work with as we go through the process of planning our their wedding day. Before jumping into wedding photography, I worked as a day-of coordinator to help make sure that wedding days went according to plan & followed the timeline in place. I typically meet with my couples a few weeks before their wedding day to start planning a more detailed timeline and to hear about their full vision for the day. So many of my 2020 couples have are going above and beyond for their details this year & I can't wait to see how Danielle & Brandon bring their vision to life here in just a few short weeks!

Danielle & Brandon, thank you SO much for trusting me to capture your wedding day and to document so many precious memories for you two. I'm so glad you found time in your busy schedules to come out & spend a night taking photos with me and I hope you absolutely LOVE how they turned out! I can't wait to see you in a few weeks to kick off the 2020 wedding season & to see you get married! Your wedding will be my first wedding that I work since I got married in January & now that I've been a bride myself I know just how truly special this day will be for you. I'm already so excited!!!
